Anyone share their setup for for Mario Kart Double Dash?

I have the game working and playing in the headset but framerate is terrible (around 35) and this is with a rtx 3070, 32gb of ram and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X.
I feel like the game should run pretty well but it's laggy as hell in the headset.
