Wiimote cursor isn't appearing for game

So I'm trying to play through Spectrobes: Origins since I never really got far, but I've hit a roadblock in the tutorial where my cursor from the wiimote isn't showing up at all, I'm not the greatest with coding and such, but I tried searching and something similar-ish I saw had tried tweaking the configuration.
So I did that, but it's still not showing up, any advice?
