New ASM development program?

Hello, I've been an ASM for about 6 months, and today my SM told me I was being assigned a bunch of CBLs, and that I would be scheduled 2 hours with the SM for training and another 2 hours with the DM, and then I would have to pass a test? Does anyone have more Info on it?
