I live in a big yard with my mother. She’s a dachshund about 2 -4 years old, I take my dogs outside while I sit in the garage and do my thing. If I’m not constantly calling her and making sure she’s staying close she will run away. My other dog is an older dachshund and is more well behaved, doesn’t run away and comes back when I call her. I am worried she will get hurt or get into some kind of trouble. We live in the desert and she runs away at night sometimes as well. There’s a lot of coyote’s where I live. I’m wondering if there’s any tips to get her to stay closer to the house without having to call her every few minutes. She’s a good dog but runs away every time I take her out with my older dog.
