He's a cute puppy. I don't blame him. I didn't want him tbh and a bit resentful because my mom got a dog and I told her because I wfm I won't be able to train him.
My mom said he's a "family dog" and suddenly the potty training falls on me. Whatever. I'm moving out soon.
But I work from home so those responsibilities fall on me. My mom won't let him be in a kennel and we use pee pads. When we go outside he just wants to play.
I've tried taking him to a different area, being patient, getting him a different leash (non retractable) but at some point after his sniffing he'll start digging, pick up sticks, and run around.
Honestly I don't have time to take him out every hour and stay outside for 30 minutes when I do just for him to come inside and immediately pee.
I've been watching YouTube videos but they talk about kennels and don't mention when a puppy wants to play when getting outside. Any ideas? I'm desperate. Next Step would be to send him to doggy daycare which doesn't really help because they don't potty train there.
But at least I can concentrate when working from home.
