Throwing a tantrum? How to redirect?

Post Body

Hello, I have a five month old Siberian Husky that has really been testing his boundaries. Lately if he doesn't want to do anything he will flop onto the ground and make himself dead weight. For example, while family is eating he's not allowed in the kitchen or anywhere next to them. I try to redirect him with a treat to either a different room or his crate. I use a leash for this moment so I'll gently tug and release to let him know we are moving. He will instead go to bite at my hands and flop himself on the floor and refuse to move. I don't want to resort to pulling him as I know it can hurt him being so young. Are there any other methods or something I could do that can stop the flopping? Is this something they grow out of
