Dog doesn't play just waits for treats.

Hi, I have a French bulldog almost two years old now and I would buy him toys and treat him when he bite or played with them. Now he seems to get bored grab a toy and come find me which is cute and fun but after a few mins of fetch he kinda just wonders off and expects a treat. It is as if he is fetching to get a treat, I tried tug of war, etc but he is engaged for a second then looks up at the treat bowl and licks his lips.
