I just got a new puppy who the breeder claimed wasn't really potty trained but by some miracle, she hasn't had any accidents at home. From day 1, she's always peed/pooped outside and in the 3-4 days I've had her, I think she understands that she shouldn't be peeing/pooping at home. The one thing I am struggling with is if I walk her to the elevator in my apartment building, she has peed/pooped a couple times in the hallway on this walk.
For now, I'm remediating it by carrying her to the elevator so she doesn't have the opportunity to do it but I was wondering if there's a way I could stop her from doing it completely. Whenever, I've noticed her peeing in the hallway, I pick her up immediately and take her out and she goes to pee there.
