Back again! Crate training going OK, separation anxiety is not.
Post Body

I posted a few days ago about my new dachshund puppy, Poppet. She is about 2 months old (Rescued her, so that's why she's so young.)

I've been sticking to a fairly strict regimen on crate training. She stays in her crate till she pottys, get play time, and is only in the crate when I sleep or go to work. When she IS in the crate, when she quiets down, I give her treats. I also give her some treats before I leave, and when I get back (when she stops whining)

She's gotten a lot better at quieting down fairly quick. She stills whines a before bed, but it's getting better.

But now, anytime I go to another room (she was in her crate while I was cleaning, couldn't watch her), or when I leave, she SCREAMS. Sounds like someone is beating her.

I've tried distracting her with toys, and Kongs, and treats, and I've tried doing it after she's tired out. None of this is working. I also don't making leaving or coming home a big deal.

Any help?

EDIT: As a bonus question! She is pottying outside fairly well, but still goes inside sometimes. Mostly when she's left in the crate too long, but just now we were playing and she just peed. Is this a sign of her not learning potty training at all? Or is she still just too young to get it?
