Puppy biting is turning aggressive

Post Body

Hi! We have a almost 3 month old Shiba puppy, who likes to chew and bite on things/us. At first, it was very easy to direct her attention to harder toys when she would nip at us or things around the house.

Lately, things have gotten worse as she would rather try and nip or bite us all over. Whether we are sitting, walking, etc. Trying to give her a toy doesn’t always work. We also practiced trying the word “enough”. So when we’d play and she would start to bite us, we would say “enough” and give her a treat when she lets go or stops biting. It worked for a little bit and we can still use that word on her, but now she is coming across as more aggressive. We understand play biting, and never have an issue with that. However, her biting has become more harder and she seems to be growling more when the biting happens.

We try to keep our patience and be stern with her, but it feels like she has a mind of her own. It’s very strange as there never seems to be a reason as to why she starts up. She will just be sitting with us and after letting us pet her, she’ll go for the hands and bite down hard and not let go.

I’m sure plenty of y’all have deal with similar situations, and kinda want to see what tips or trick anyone may have for us

Thank you!
