I think it's super unfair that humans have to do so much just to afford to live on this planet, while dogs do absolutely nothing and they live lives of privilege and luxury. Humans are expected to get out of bed early in the morning every day, just so they don't end up starving on the streets while dogs just exist(?) and somehow that it a reason enough for humans to feed them, walk them, spoil them, clean up after them.
When I look at all the homeless people who have literally nothing, I feel ashamed to be human. I feel ashamed because they (most of the time) have been abused and nobody cares enough for them to give them a good life. But a dog, however, gets that even if it's aggressive. Even if it's the worst possible dog ever, it still gets a chance. Adoption centers usually beg:
"Ooh, adopt him - he's a sweet boy. He's a bit difficult to handle but it's not his fault"
Yet, the same empathy is not extended towards humans. Nobody looks at a homeless person with an addiction and says:
"Ooh, they're a bit difficult but it's not their fault"
Usually, it's the opposite.
"It's their fault for being a bum and not wanting to work. It's their fault for failing at life"
Some humans don't get a chance in life at all, not a first nor a second one. Nobody cares for them as much as they do for dogs.
The way I see things, if humans are always meant to fend for themselves on their own, then I think the same should apply for dogs. Return them back to the forest where they came from and let's see how they do in that environment. Although, I have a feeling that they will be completely helpless, considering how dependent on humans they have become. If humans are expected to earn our living, then I think the same should be expected to dogs. Let them roam the forests and get their own food, water and shelter. And if they fail at it, blame them the same way you blame humans.
That's all I have to say.
