Some back story about myself: Iāve been attacked by dogs 4-5 times in my life. Iām only 22. Iāve always had a disliking towards dogs for many reasons...smelly, noisy, aggressive, needy, and unpredictable. I donāt trust them.
A couple months ago my parentās decided to bring home an English Mastiff (I donāt live with them). I have two younger brothers who still live with my parents.
I decided to head over to their place just a couple days ago on Easter to spend time with the family. My younger brother who is 18 years old decided he would go into the backyard to give some attention to the cocker spaniel and mastiff. Shortly after I hear my brother make a loud incoherent yell as well as some rumbling against the gate. I knew it could have been two things; either the mastiff attacked the cocker spaniel or my brother. So I sprint outside and notice my brother on the same side of the gate as the mastiff holding his arm.
What was supposed to be a fun day for Easter turned into a very stressful and emotional day for my family, myself, and my brother. He undeservingly received a puncture wound and a fractured wrist. Thankfully heās okay as the situation could have been a lot worse.
Iāve never ālikedā dogs. Theyāre too unpredictable and can strike at any given moment for unknown reasons. Dog owners are always seeking justification for their petās harmful actions. Society and media has depicted anyone who dislikes dogs to be this evil and empathy lacking human being. People hate spiders. People hate snakes. People hate cats. I hate dogs.
