ChatGPT for your pet blog or physical product business
Post Body

Seems like everyone is experimenting with ChatGPT these days, but how do you best integrate it into your business?

There are plenty of ways that I have been experimenting with incorporating it into our businesses, so here are some of the highlights.

  1. Content creation - while the articles it can produce are not perfect, they do provide a framework that makes content creation a lot easier. If you are like me, getting started on an article has always been the hardest. I use ChatGPT as a rough draft that I then go back and edit to add some personal touches to. Some commands that I like to incorporate into my articles:
    1. Optimize for SEO around (insert keywords) and include H1, H2, and H3 (this will make sure that the article is formatted properly and optimized for target keywords)
    2. Find the most searched questions around (insert article topic) and supply the google search query, the question, and a one paragraph answer (this allows me to include other questions people are asking about the topic, and link directly to google)
    3. Find x quotes about (insert topic) from industry experts. Include the name of the person, the quote, and a link to the original quote (this gives authority to the article and allows me to link out to it)
  2. Ad creation or ideas: Similarly to content, what you put in, will dictate what you get out, but by supplying ChatGPT with context to what you are selling, it can produce some great ideas of ad variations to test. I just supply ChatGPT with details about a product and tell it to use that information as it's knowledge base moving forward
  3. Sales Copy: Similar to ad creation, if you give ChatGPT a summary of your business, why you created it, what makes it unique, etc... you can then use that as your base knowledge to create the about us, product descriptions, and sales copy for your site (just like articles though, I only use this as a base line that needs to be edited.. not the final product)
  4. Intregated Chat Service: if you take the FAQ or Q&A section of your website (hopefully it is robust and includes detailed answers) you can actually integrate ChatGPT right into your website. Here is a great article I found around this topic: https://bootcamp.uxdesign.cc/a-step-by-step-guide-to-building-a-chatbot-based-on-your-own-documents-with-gpt-2d550534eea5

A couple of things to remember.

1) always double check any facts or figures you get from ChatGPT. I am not 100% sure where it pulls all the data from, but I have seen some numbers it generates that are wildly off from what the real thing should be.

2) The information you get out of it, is only as good as the query or info you put into it. The real key to any AI moving forward is the ability of the user to input the right requests. This is why really good marketers will be able to leverage it for marketing, while the average person will get average results from it.
