Recommendations for 5 hour car trip with doggie?

Post Body

Going to be driving up for Christmas with my partner and it will be the first long car trip with our rescue dog. He’s already acclimated to being in the car for a daily 20 minute commute each way for work and plenty of short errands.

We’re planning to stop hourly or more if he needs it, and I’m planning to bring plenty of wipes/change of clothes & supplies incase he has any accidents.

The vet recommended 25mg of Benadryl to help him be drowsy, is there anything else you’ve found helps a dog on a longer car ride? He’s a 20lb poodle mix, 1.5 years old.

Any other stuff I should be sure to bring?
