Got a dog/pet sitting job in a week and I’m not sure if I’m charging too much?

Hello! I’m looking for insight on if I’m charging a fair rate for a 5-day sitting job I might take!

Typically I charge $20-$25/per dog, $10-$15/per cat. There aren’t many pet sitters or reputable boarders in my area of Texas so I have nothing to base my prices on, other than gas costs, my time and effort, and the amount of work the job consists of.

The lady who is hiring me is a former coworker of mine. She has three dogs (two are seniors and will need oral medication twice daily) and four cats. The senior dogs have incontinence issues and she would like for me to clean up behind them as well as cleaning the litter boxes thrice daily. I will be feeding, watering, and letting the dogs out into the yard three times daily for 5 days.

Is it unfair to charge around $100 per day? I will be over there for an average of 2 1/2 hours per day altogether.

I’m sorry if this goes against the rules of the sub! Unsure where else to ask! Thanks to anyone who can help me!!
