Just wanted to give an update Just under 6 hours ago I made a post about my living situation and my dog Alfie. A Redditor suggested I make a go fund me and so I did. You all helped me in a way I’ve never been helped.

Alfie has been taken away by a lovely Redditor who has decided to take care of him while I find a job and a place to stay.

The lovely lady (you know who you are) told me she can pick him up right away while I sort my living situation out asap! Thank you Rose, I appreciate you so much and I know Alf will be in good hands for a few weeks.

I have the money for a deposit thanks to you all and I am seeking a property in Canterbury and am viewing it today.

I have extra money too. I appreciate it so much. I will use this to get him a new bed and better quality food. As an old gentleman he deserves better quality than the crap I’ve been getting him

The picture is Alfie being taken away. I told him everything was going to be okay and that I will see him soon.

I would like to clarify that I would’ve never taken Alfie to a shelter where he would be killed. I wanted someone to provide temporary housing for him while I found a place to live. I should’ve made it clearer and apologise to anyone I offended.

I can’t believe how your life can change in a day. I am so thankful. This community is amazing. I know you did it for Alfie and trust me he is loving the new home, his bed is right by the fireplace and he is loving it but you have saved me too.

Today is a celebration of freedom. I don’t remember a time I was so happy. I’ve cried all morning
