My dog is around 1 year and 6 months old. She is a small Chihuahua, cross with you fox terrier. She won't stop chewing soft things like pillows, fuzzy throw blankets, her beds, etc. What do I do.
I've bought "anti chew" spray, but I feel like it does nothing. I spray the chewed item 4 or 5 times, but she doesent care.
I do kennel train her, and her kennel is her safe/happy place. But I do use it as a form of punishment also. When she misbehaves, I send her to her bed, like you would a child. So I do that everytime she eats something.
She does not only do it when she wants elatyention either. The other day I was laying on the couch with her, playing with her toys, than she walked away for 2 minutes. I went to go checkup on her and she went to my bedroom and started eating my pillow.
What can I do to prevent it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
