Dog peeing more frequently

Hello, I want to start by saying that I know no one on this sub can tell me exactly what’s wrong with my dog, I guess I’m really just wondering how concerned I should be. My Pomeranian will be three years old in November. He’s had all of his shots. I’ve noticed that for the past few days (maybe about a week or so?) he has been peeing a lot more later in the evening. We live alone in the country side where he can’t reach street, so I’ll let him roam outside a few hours a day. Typically, I’ll let him out around 11:30 am and bring him back in at 12 or a little past. (If it’s cool and he doesn’t want to come back in, I’ll bring him in around 1 instead.) Usually, he doesn’t pee inside after this, but it’s happened once or twice. He peed today at that time, but it was hardly anything and he was jumping around, so I’m not sure if it was just excitement. I’ll let him back out again at 7 and bring him in again at 8. Around an hour or so later, sometimes less sometimes more, he’ll pee somewhere in the house. Sometimes, he’ll even do it twice. It’s not always a lot of pee, it varies. I extended the time I let him run around outside to 9, thinking that maybe he just didn’t have long enough outside, and he’s still done it. Last night, I let him hang out until 10, and he did not pee that I’m aware of.

I would also like to note that this is not a problem when he and I go to bed at night. (I usually go to bed at around 1 am and get up around 11 am.) It is only before midnight that this happens. From what I can tell, he pees in specific spots. He doesn’t go to random places to do so/do it wherever he is. I’ve only cleaned up in 3 places each time. He does not pee after I am asleep. Tonight, he was drinking a lot of water (I believe he got water at least six times) but other than that he is still fine. He’s very active, nose is wet, and he eats just fine. When I’m at school his schedule is different. I’ll take him to the bathroom and then feed him at 7 am. If I have time I’ll come back to my dorm and check on him around lunchtime. Sometimes we’ll go out if I can. If not, I’ll come back around 5 and take him out, then we’re in for the night unless he tells me he needs to go. (That’s another thing worth noting, he goes to the door when he needs to go, both at home and at university, and will whine for my attention. When he’s having these accidents, he does not get my attention or anyone else’s.) He was doing fine on both schedules up until recently.

I intend to take him to the vet, but my grandfather was the breadwinner of our house so after his sudden death, money has been tight. Do I need to start saving up in case he needs more than just a routine visit?
