Dog’s Behavior at Dog Park

Post Body

My dog (2 y/o corgi, M) has been having some aggressive/abnormal behavior with other dogs lately when we go to the dog park. He has never been aggressive by nature, but he has always been a more dominant dog. Lately, if a dog gets in his space/tries to sniff him at the dog park, he growls and snarls at them. This is a recent behavior that’s been happening, and I’m worried because I truly believe this is not in his true nature. We also brought home our second dog in February (mini doodle, F), and that’s been an adjustment for him as he was very accustomed to being an “only child” (my husband and I don’t have any kids, just our dogs). Could this have anything to do with how he acts at the dog park? Also what could possible solutions be? Someone recommended a beep/shock collar, and while I’m not totally against this, I’m also open to other options.

Also, we take training our dogs seriously, so I hope this doesn’t sound like a lack of training issue (though if there is something we could do training wise that may help, please drop any recommendations as well).
