Does anybody else ever watch a TV or movie and fine within it a situation that's similar to something that's happened in your own life and then watch to see how the character goes about the situation to almost confirm to yourself if you went about that situation correctly or not?
I find myself doing this a lot and with people too and I don't think its particularly healthy as I think firstly these are works of fiction and aren't really applicable nor should they be to real life. Secondly it's also just looking to others to confirm decisions youve made rather than accepting this yourself. And lastly it's not your situation or your experience so shouldn't dictate how you feel about it. Idk this has been on my mind and wanted to know what others might think
