I've seen all ranges of reaction on the Tyler Glasnow trade from excitement to dread. The most interesting to me are a handful of people claiming that even seperately from his concerning injury history, Glasnow simply isn't a very good pitcher, citing things like his career ERA or lack of ASG appearances to evidence this claim. I've also seen more than a few fans who aren't familair with him wondering exactly how good he is.

This got me curious about about how he compares to the cream of the crop of starting pitchers in recent years. Glasnow's first full season with Tampa Bay was in 2019, so I began my date range there. I'm using ERA, ERA and FIP as rate stats. With Glasnow's low IP/Yr, his couting stats won't compare against any of these other players, but I wanted to know specifically how good he is when he does make it to the mound.
