So I'm the owner of an 05 4.7 dakota. I love the truck but my got its issue after issue. I've spent over 4k on repairs (I do my own work, outside of when the cats needed replaced) and it just keeps breaking down. Ball joints, calipers, drums, transfer case, catalytic converters, wheel bearings, steering rack, a control arm, the list goes on an on. It's got 143k on it and I'm about to just give up. I've repaired more shit on this damn truck than my other 5 cars/ trucks before this. I just got it back on the road 5 days ago and today a brake line failed and I almost wrecked on the icy road. I keep thinking I've repaired so much stuff that it should be good to go again for a while but nope. Always another issue. I can't trust this damn truck that I love so much and have spent a fortune on. My 01 silverado with 297k on the odometer is so much more reliable. I just don't get it! Thanks for letting me rant, I know this isn't what this sub usually posts, I just needed to let off some steam.
