Post Body

2003 Quad Cab RWD w/ 5.9

During my recent oil change I found a greasy substance on my coolant reservoir dip stick. I'm afraid I know the answer but looking for confirmation. Just rolled 300k on the original motor and transmission.

I do have the dreaded intake manifold oil leak since the interior of the intake is black and I loose about 1-1.5 quarts between oil changes. I'm hoping that may be the cause of the issue but not sure if I want to spend money if it is the head gasket.

Not sure if I should have a shop tear it down to fix it or replace the truck 😭
