hey everybody, I've been dealing with some hectic fuckery the past few weeks in regards to my new scat pack, here's the rundown
I purchased a 2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack on September 14th with the original manufacturer's warranty intact. During the purchase, I was informed that I had 9 months of the warranty remaining. However, on September 23rd, while I was driving on the highway at around 70-75 mph, my car redlined. My dashboard lit up, and I quickly pulled over as smoke began emerging from my air vents. The car then shut down. I had it towed to the dealership where I bought it. It remained there for two days before I could speak to the staff. I discussed the situation with the financial manager, general manager, and finally the service manager. They provided me with a rental car and assured me that the expenses would be covered. I've owned this car for just two weeks. When I purchased it, the mileage was 9,600 miles; now it's at 10,000 miles. I'm eager to understand my options and what I can do next.
I've spoken to a attorney already and she told me she can't do anything as of right now until the 30th day, but she did say to keep her in the loop.
I just called the service department today and I was told that the manufacturer is going to need more photos of the motor so essentially they're going to break that thing down piece by piece before they approve a claim, but what the service lady told me was that because of the strike it would be a LONG time before she could get her hands on a motor like that.
so do I have the worst luck or what?
