I am a mountain dwarf bear barbarian level 5, my stats are Str 16, Dex 14, Con 18, Int 8, Wis 12, Cha 10. I am our party tank, but I'm rather bored of just attacking in a one dimensional way, hence the fighter multiclass. I am doing a 8/12 barb/fighter split.
Just wondering when to take fighter levels and what maneuvers to take. I took slasher at level 4 for utility and to level my dex.
My DM also let me take a not OP feat at level one so we didn't have a party of varient humans, so I have tavern brawler, hence the 18 Con.
My main weapon is a great axe, but I also have hand axes, and a lightning javelin. So I can use my greataxe, then my handaxe and grapple.
I want to max my Con and Str. I also want to take tough, and great weapon master.
The main thing I am struggling with is what maneuvers to take and when so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of precision attack, ambush, brace for level 3, commanding presence, and tactical assessment for level 7, and either menacing or goading attack, and disarming attack for level 10.
N.B. This is my first character, so please be gentle, and explanation would be great as I am not 100% sure on everything.
