The campaign is most like Temple of Elemental Evil DM transferred from 1st edition Module to 5e. The game is going to be hack and slash with a DM who views it very much DM vs Players. Homebrew crit rules is normal damage plus max weapon die. We get a free feat at first level.
I was thinking going 5 Gloom stalker than rest Assassin with long bow range focus to get the extra attack. Or go 4 each then 1 gloom stalker and rest Assassin or just 3 Gloom Stalker and rest Assassin.
Starting Level 1 build(we rolled stats)
Feats
level 1 Elven Accuracy
Level 4 Sharpshooter
Level 4(Assassin) Alert
After that Wis 2 Con 2 twice
Only thing I am set on is Gloom Stalker with Longbow and the Dark Elf. Really need to optimize for early level success without hurting long term. Party that I know is Wizard, Druid, Cleric, Fighter (trying to be tanky), Fighter(two-handed)(100%on this one) and me.
Thanks again for any help
