Edit: so I'm thinking of making Curse of the Deer to be once per long rest, 40% chance. Must make Animal handling skill check of DC 11. In combat you leave for 5 rounds, out of combat its 10 mins in game time. Curse of the Rabbit is staying as is but it is a Animal Handling skill check as well. DC of 10. Toying with having it be once per short rest.
I think this will help balance it and make them not so ridiculous.
I'm creating a custom race. They are a Jackalope Humanoid race. And the racial trait is called Curse of the Hunted. And has 2 aspects.
Curse of the Deer: At any given moment (DMs discretion) there is a 40% chance you catch the scent of a mate in heat with in a 100ft radius. You have to make a WIS Animal Handling saving throw with disadvantage. DC is WIS 12 If you fail the save you flee to find the mate. You are gone for 10 mins(non combat) 6 mins (combat)
Curse of the Rabbit: Before the first round of combat you must make a WIS Animal Handling save with disadvantage. DC is WIS 10 If you fail the throw you are frightened for the first round of combat.
What do you guys think?
