Cleric has been learning from the best.

I'm not salty that the other time the cleric used Thaumaturgy, I got eaten by a mimic.

Cleric finds a window and makes a loud explosion sound inside. Thaumaturgy probably? Or Minor Illusion. Or prestidigitation? One of those three.

It was a courtroom.

Court was in session.

Lots of screaming and "explodey" rats everywhere

Clerk goes pale-faced and rushes off to confer with one of the judges

We get hired basically on the spot.

Get led around the courthouse catching rats and "defusing the ones that we aren't able to get"

Lots of solid Bluff checks were had

Pass prisoner in question in the basement

Ask guard for help in one holding cell while Thunder works in another
