Post Body

So I'm a slightly newer dnd player/dm and the dm in the story is a new dm running a homebrew world.

Be me: ashenspawn elf bard Be not me:human monk, tortle paladin, grung fighter, goblin blood hunter

We restarted the campaign due to session one being a huge cluster and wanted it to be a bit more concise. All the pcs are brought towards a king for various grievances and are told we need to do a job for him to be pardoned. Ok cool. Paladin is trying to convert everyone to a god named Azure. God doesnt actually exsist, the player just misread a gods name and we are rolling with it. Get skyrimed towards a fort where we need to kill an enemy general. By this point the entire party worships azure because its devolved into a joke. Our escorts book it back to the kingdom once we get dropped off bc they can't stand azure. We disguise ourself as missionaries for Azure to get into the fort. Guards are confused and leave post to get superiors. Monk, fighter and blood hunter all stealth in with pass in silence and shawl of the unseen. The paladin and myself stay at the gate to keep up the act, agreeing to act as decoys and cause a distraction. Stealth party makes it in and is exploring around no issue. Paladin panics seeing a guard and asks if I can cause a distraction. Decides to cast shrill whistle. Dm hates me bc now has to figure out how many npcs are in the entire fort and how much wildlife is in the area. Mass chaos. Gotta wait two weeks to figure out the aftermath now.
