Be not me rest of party: halfling rogue, human barbarian, human? (Can't remember), human druid.

Be also not me DM running homebrew campaign set in the middle of winter. Region based on Scandinavia.

Traveling through a swamp to rescue the druid who was captured last session. Walking around a frozen lake see what looks like steam coming from a mound on far shore.

Discuss with group. Consensus is that the "steam" is from some monsters hiding in the snow.

Decide to strike first. Only one who can attack at this range is me.

Rest of party readys themselves for a fight.
