There was a greentext in which a party member was killed and had his soul placed in a gem by an evil god. By implanting that gem into other corpses, he could take control of them. He puts the gem inside of his corpse and his corpse into a bugbear and would remotely control the bugbear from inside, then burst out and start attacking with intimidation "because shits freaky yo" (line from greentext).
I think there was also attempted seduction on his part while controlling the bugbear
