I'm slowly working on a couple side Adventures for some of my players. Mostly so we don't progress the main campaign without everyone present.
One idea I'm working on came from my love of cryptids, and from my players visiting Falcon's Hunting Lodge in our Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign.
Basically the PC's are all visiting Tah Peirs' Cryptid Hunting Lodge. Tah Peir is a Half-Orc who investigates sightings of strange unnatural creatures that only exist in the deepest parts of a particular forest.
One of the first missions I wanted Tah to take the Players on is collecting a clutch of Mothman Eggs for that evening's dinner. An actual Mothman encounter I'm thinking of as more of like a mini-boss fight, so I figured the players could have to fight off a few Mothman babies.
Now for the question: Do baby Mothmen look like small humanoid moth babies, or do they look like a large caterpillar with some humanoid features? Like, instead of the caterpillar leg nubbins, are they instead fat little baby arms?
