I joined my friends campy a little late and worked out a backstory I really like with the DM and we are all set to go. Campy goes great, I'm loving it all. New group of players with only a few friends I know personally so I'm a little shy but they all are really cool and I get used to them as the session goes on.
Long story short, I have reason to hate nearly all of the group and as neutral good in a group of evil and 1 flip floppy guy, I keep my actions limited just sorta watching.
This goes on till I learn one of the characters killed my father and don't take it well. I plan to kill him right there, guards stop me so I bide my time and set up an ambush, I get interrupted again. Yet I learn more information from another player I'll call target 2. He tells me he cut off my father's finger but the first person killed him. He offers me his finger if I wanted to remove it but I refuse for now.
I stalk the first target for a while before relaxing a little and finding something else to do while I wait for the chance.
The first guy comes to find me, explains the situation and lies to my face about target 2 doing it. He gets a high deception but I don't really care seeing as the group he belongs to is my sworn enemy and I planned to kill everyone connected to it. After like 3 chances to leave me alone I start combat when he knocks my arrow away from my bow.
I shot him twice and hit him to death saves with an axe. I didn't want to finish him but he chose to die right there.
Everyone in the voice call was a little shook for a moment but got over it, (minus me). I offered to go back cause I felt bad but the entire group including the guy I killed were like "Nah."
I just feel real bad but idk why, everyone is cool with it and it made sense for me to do it.
Also some other people had plans to merk this guy cause he really was a bad guy. But I sorta showed up first session and ruined them all. I feel bad about that too. Idk am I over thinking it?
