Is Major image worth it?

So I’m a lv 5 bard and I’ve been using silent image for most of the game. But I’m now able to get major image, although I’m not sure if it’s worth it. The only difference between the 2 is that major image is 20x20, instead of silent’s 15x15, and that major image includes sensations such as moderate temperatures and sounds. The thing is, my dm lets me use minor illusion and Prestidigitation to do these things for the illusions (outside of combat). And I don’t see it being so useful that I’d take the 3rd lv version just to use in combat, especially when I already have phantasmal force. But I’d like to know the opinions of others.
