Post Body

So I have this friend, he’s our groups Dm. He’s a great dm, and has been running sessions weekly with the us for awhile, up until around two months ago, when a wish spell brought us from level 11 to level 15 (possibly 16-17). He told us that by using the wish spell this way there was a 95 % chance that it would go wrong if we decided to use it, we decided yes, and he rolled on a couple tables and gave us the levels. Then he immediately banned the wish spell from appearing in our games ever again. Level 15 was the level he wanted us to get to to face the boss of the campaign. (Tyranny of dragons). We fought some enemies to test our new abilities, and he planned on having us fight the boss in our next session. This was around 3-4 months ago and that next session still hasn’t happened. Me and the rest of the party asked him about it and he said he would do it eventually. I saw him in person yesterday and he told me he was taking a break from dnd, possibly a permanent break. He said he was going to sell some of his dnd stuff. He was the only person I knew that liked dnd more then me, and it seems like this really goes against who he is. I think that he might have gotten burned out of Dnd, so I was wondering if any of you had similar stories, like have you or anyone you know left dnd? Did they come back? Do you think my Dm will be back?
