Idea i had while sleep-deprived in the shower: For anyone playing in an especially lethal campaign, you could play a âBuddhistâ Monk who is extremely aware of the fact that he has been âreincarnatedâ (been rolled-up by a player who has played D&D before), and that he will be âreincarnatedâ (the player will roll-up another one), resulting in an alienating âgo-with-the-flowâ worldview. Especially if this is the playerâs first time playing Monk, the Perfection of the Soul narrative becomes the meta-narrative of the actual player gaining mastery of 5eD&D Monk gameplay. Obviously you name this guy Sahve Skuum (pronounced âSave Scumâ)
