I need resources to help refining D&D settlements. I'm creating several locations and want to make sure I apply the correct name/title/positions appropriate size of settlements.
Here are a population breakpoints for Settlements used in Forgotten Realms

| 20–80 | Thorp |
| 81–400 | Hamlet |
| 401–900 | Village |
| 901–2,000 | Small town |
| 2,001–5,000 | Large town |
| 5,001–12,000 | Small city |
| 12,001–25,000 | Large city |
| 25,001– | Metropolis |
Where might you find a Mayor or what would be the equivalent role/title for a larger or smaller settlement.
For various levels of law enforcement where might you find Constable, Kings Guard, Crowns Guard, City Guard, Sherif, Marshal etc or their respective equivalent.
I just want to make sure if the players want to talk someone I can apply the correct titles/names to those people.
