Homebrew: Fey Bloodline Sorcerer
Post Body

Hi everyone!

So I was astonished today when I realized that there is no fey themed subclass for sorcerers (apart from maybe wild magic, though I feel like that doesn't count). Since the fey have such powerful innate magic, and such a sick aesthetic, I think it's a real shame that we haven't had any UA that caters to this theme. Below is my attempt at making a fey bloodline subclass, I'd love some feedback to see what people think balance/ flavor wise :) thanks!

Level 1

Fey Charm: You learn to read, write and speak Sylvan. When making a charisma check against a fey creature, your proficiency bonus is doubled if it applies to the check.

Innate spell caster: You learn one cantrip of your choice from the druid spell list, and can cast the speak with animals spell at will. Both count as sorcerer spells for you.

Level 6

Fey Step: As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 30 feet to a point you can see. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you complete a short rest.

Level 14

Magical Defence: You gain proficiency in wisdom saving throws.

Level 18

Awaken: For one minute, as an action you can awaken your inner fey spirit, gaining several benefits. You gain resistance to damage from spells, and have advantage on saving throws against magical effects. Additionally, you regain the use of your Fey Step feature if it is expended, and may use it again as a bonus action on each of your turns. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you complete a long rest.
