I'm having trouble finding a class that fits my idea of a primative species big game hunter. Like early man and the mammoth, only he has to go it alone (hell obviously have a party but I want the class design along the lines of him attempting to handle big game by himself)
My thoughts on weapons were things like howler javelins, or weapons that cause persistent bleeding damage, with the idea that he would try and wear down his quarry before climbing into it and delivering a finishing blow.
Being hidden is important, but not the primary focus (as in the 3.5 Hunter class), as his prey is usually strong enough to withstand a sneaky ambush.
If anybody knows a class to look at as inspiration (anything that specializes in taking out targets if larger size categories, for example) I'd love to see it. The DM is ok with creating the class if we have to, but I'd rather start with something pre-existing and tweak it than start from scratch
