Not sure if it’s been discussed here before but I noticed players dictate to the DM during sessions what they’d like to roll such as “I’m going to roll perception” or “can I roll sleight of hand to pickpocket him?” And most DM’s seem to not care about it but I personally dislike it since it ruins RP. As a DM I’ve made it a house rule that when a player dictates what they’re going to roll it automatically fails regardless of how high they roll. I’d like to know what other DM’s and players feel about this thing? Is it just me that’s driven crazy by this?
