Story vs Player Enjoyment
Post Body

So I had to change characters. And normally, there wouldn't be any problem with that. I felt that my Arcane Trickster was extremely weak, and as much as I liked him as a character, as a player, I wanted to pick something more fun.

Problem is, he left (promising he'd be back at some point) at a point where we had a budding romance in our party, and it broke my heart to see their character alone. Good for character development, but given that this character in particular doesn't have much going for him other than that romance.

Now I have two characters that have no reason to back off from killing the BBG, but, of course, I can only take one. I also love my new character, both how she fights and how she is, but I kinda feel like I sacrificed part of the lore for my better enjoyment of the game.
