So this is my first regular game and my dm just decided to do something interedting in our homebrewed world

So the party has to find a magical item namely a pearl that is cloudy blue none of us know what it does yet

So we gathered as much info as possible and found out that it is going to take going to a ball to gather any more intel on the item plus its supposed to be stored in the balls location

SO me (lawful good paladin) and my buddy (chaotic neutral fighter) go hunting without the rest of the party and encounter "bandits", roll persuasion to avoid a fight critical success, then they offer a quest which we hear out, long story short i roll critical fail and now my god wants me to help these bandits to steal the pearl for then without my party knowing and my fighter friend is helping.... best part is the rest of the party literally knows nothing at all.... stay tuned xD
