Need help for a side quest

So I have this half girl half wolf anime kinda looking girl (white fox) who is really a snow spirit. And I wanted to give my party a chance help her in some way and get her trust in a way that she will join their party.
Now the party is on a small town out of nowhere( a place where they chill and make their houses out if money of adventures) so I don't know how to introduce a situation in which they can encounter her.
