I run a 5e campaign once a week with some close friends. Since they’re my friends, we often hang out outside of DnD meetings. Some of the players want to play more often than once a week, but it’s generally a much smaller group. What are some short encounters that I can have on hand when we have a couple hours to kill?
I’m happy to play published encounters or make up my own. I’m picturing things like the Test of Initiation from The Adventure Zone. (Which I think was actually published recently.) My team really isn’t concerned with buy-in, as they’re still just enjoying learning the game. I’d also appreciate hearing what other groups do to scratch the itch when campaign meetings are a few days away.
