Miniatures are expensive, so I came up with an alternative. I'm trying to find a way to get plain colour miniature sized things (plastic, clay, anything sturdy), but I don't know how to best do it. Does anybody have any input on this?

I was looking around for miniatures, but they're all very expensive and I can't afford it. So I decided that what I want to do is only get detailed miniatures for my PCs and the important NPCs (Villains, Kings, Etc.). For the other enemies, I just want to get a whole horde of things that are the size of minis and plain coloured, maybe only coded with a number (so its easier to keep track of what is what). I don't know what the best way to go about this is though. Any help is appreciated!
