Hi! I'm James, programmer, D&D player, and lover of games.
In two weeks, I will be doing a panel on how to keep your players engaged. This will include "game time" and "between games". I want to hone my message a bit more, and make sure I'm getting the information across that people want.
About 3 years ago I did my first panel on Player Retention, and wrote a short eBook about it. (Specifically on how to keep players returning to the table when hectic schedules and fast-paced life makes it hard.) I did an AMA shortly after that, and it went over pretty well.
In an effort to make my content match what people want, I figured I'd come directly to the source: DM's and players. I've been playing and DMing D&D games for over 16 years now, and I've got a lot of ideas and stories I can share.
So.
DMs: What questions do you have about keeping players engaged during and after sessions?
Players: What questions do you have about being a good player and staying involved in the game?
