Accidental dental work...

One of my players found a ring which no-one in the party could identify it, he decided to wear it.
Later on they need to swim through a tunnel to get to the other side of a cave. Turns out the ring was a ring of waterwalking and as my player raced towards the water and made a leap he slams his face on the water surface as if it was solid ground.
(Im fully aware that this isnt the way this ring works but i thought it would be a fun way for them to find out)
