Feats vs. Ability Scores
Post Body

I'm a D&D newbie playing my first campaign (5e). I've been looking ahead to when my rogue turns 4th level and gets the Ability Score Improvement feature, but I'm not sure whether it wouldn't be more beneficial for me to take a feat instead.

I'm sure I'll end up doing a bit of both as I move up in levels, but early on, do you guys find it generally more helpful to take feats or the ability boost? Alternatively, do you find that certain kinds of characters do better if you focus on one or the other?
