Going into the Dream World and looking for monsters

My party is in for a treat, they are going to "wake up" together in one of their dreams, 6 members wake up in the head of one of the members but they don't know who. I want them to face some nightmarish monsters while inside, they are all level 8 but they are a little overpowered. They won't know they're in a dream, but the key to the dream is to make a willing sacrifice of the dreamer. If this happens they will all wake up. Sorry for the long winded explanation but I would like some ideas for monsters to use.
