A problem i'm stumped with (3rd edition)
Post Body

Keep in mind I will be talking about 3rd edition

I remember reading In the DM guide for 3rd edition that a paladin can give up a level for paladin for a level for black guard. It also said that you can go half and half, 20th level paladin can give up 10 paladin levels and become a 10th paladin 10th blackguard.

My problem is can a cleric do the same? Can a cleric give up a level of "good cleric" for "bad cleric"(or vice versa)? Also if a cleric can give up levels for there evil/good counter part can a cleric instead of giving up levels can instead when he/she levels can instead level up to there alignment counter part(ex good cleric puts there level in evil cleric), and if so does this count as multi-classing?

Ive been stuck on this for a while and i'm hoping r/DnD can help
